Create a Family Campfire Moment – May Outdoor Challenge

Sharing is caring:

It’s time for another fun outdoor challenge! You know I love helping families explore outdoors, and this May 2018 I’m looking forward to creating campfire moments. Wanna do it with me?

What is a Campfire Moment?

A crackling fire. Delicious food. Friends and family relaxing, telling jokes and stories. The sound of crickets and gurgling water in the distance. Fresh air mingled with a touch of wood smoke tickling your nose.

Can you picture it? Sitting around a campfire has a magical power to draw people together, encourage relaxation and help us all to connect with nature. Plus it usually involves tasty food – S’mores anyone?

I want you to have a campfire moment with your family this month. Are you up to the challenge?

Monthly Outdoor Challenges

In case you don’t know what my monthly outdoor challenges are all about, here’s a quick run down.

Each month I host a different outdoor challenge. They all:

  1. Require you to get outside.
  2. Be something you can bring kids on.
  3. Cost little or nothing to complete.
  4. Be a little challenging. It is a challenge after all.

My Monthly Outdoor Challenges are completely free for participants and offer outdoor inspiration delivered right to your inbox.

Once you complete the challenge if you want a 1 in 50 or better chance to win this month’s exclusive gear prize, just sign up as a Mountain Mom and Tots patron and post a photo of your family around a campfire on social media. Then you’ll be entered into an exclusive gear giveaway prize!

You can’t really enjoy a family campfire moment without food right? Well, one Monthly Outdoor Challenge patron will receive the essential campfire cooking gear – a pack of Marshmallows and two Roasting Sticks!

Ciao! Baby The Portable High Chair

This is probably my favorite prize this month – the Ciao! Baby Portable High Chair so your baby can enjoy a family campfire moment too! I’ve done lots of camping with infants and toddlers and one of the hardest parts is having a safe place to sit your child when at camp. You don’t want the toddler falling into the firepit and it’s really tough to sit a baby on your lap to feed them when all you want is to eat your own food.

This Ciao! Baby Portable High Chair makes camping with baby so much better! It folds up like a regular camp chair, is made of durable, wipeable material and secures baby in place keeping everyone safe.

April Go Green Challenge Winner

Now before I leave you I’ve gotta say congratulations to Aimee for winning my April Go Green Challenge prize pack!

Her family tried a new eco-friendly habit in April of composting their kitchen scraps AND they purchased one of these for their bathroom.

But more exciting than that, their family also welcomed a new addition in April! Congratulations Aimee!

That’s it! I’m stoked to have my own family campfire moment this month. Are you?

See you in the outdoors,
